Can't say for sure since there isn't a candidate for either side that is picked yet. I will probably vote for Obama in the primaries though.

Probably go with the best democratic option available since republicans are most responsible for the worldwide quagmire we are in now.One republican I could possibly consider is McCain cause he is one of few free thinking politicians today,he doesn't always automatically go with the left or right on anything,he goes with his own feeling on whats the right thing to do.He's called a flip flopper by democrats and a liberal disguised as a conservative by republicans but thats what happens to anyone who tries to cross party lines and make compromises to get things done. He's a great guy and its a shame that the hard core republicans and democrats try to tarnish his image for being one of the few guys who is truly willing to work with both parties to get things done.We need more of that in washington.
As far as Romney goes, being from Massachusetts i got to see first hand how he basically abandons doing his job once he decides he's moving on to other things.Last thing he did to bolster his image for presidency was to get a health care plan done for all MA residents to have health insurance buy 2008 and then started hinting immediately after he might be seeking the white house.Other then that he was pretty much absent for the last 8 months or so of his time in office here.So when the end of his final term in office is coming,if he took that same attitude as a president we wouldn't see him trying to get anything done for his final year,he'd basically just be planning his retirement and lettting congress do whatever they please.
I try not to play politics like its a football game and still back my team even when it sucks cause you can't do that when it comes to running the country.Thats how many americans play politics like they are rooting for "their team" to win and they don't actually really try to pick the most fit person to run the country.Too many people pick for one reason, some just want a tax cut, some just pick a guy cause he's pro choice or anti-abortion.Picking for one reason isn't how you get the best guy for the job.People gotta look deeper then that. For the most part I agree with democtratic views but if there are no good options in that party and i see a republican out there who seems like he has good ideas about foreign and domestic policy I am not afraid to vote for the other party.
Democrats are actually the reason why sometimes we have republican and democratic presidents cause they are more open minded and willing to try the other party if they have no good options.Republicans tend to be set in voting republican no matter what even if it was Satan himself running.Too much redneck thinking like "Oh Democrats are going to try to take my guns away so never vote for them" or "Oh democrats are baby killers and thats against my religious beliefs" or "Oh democrats just raise taxes and i want to save 10 bucks a week in my paycheck".Republicans have never been good at seeing the entire picture, just small bits and pieces that only pertain to them.If democrats were as unwilling to be open minded and try something different Gore would have won in 2000 rather easily. With the mess Bush has created i wish they hadn't let Clinton's extra marital affair weigh in their decision for trying a change cause that cloud over the white house hurt Gore's campaign and had democrats going another direction. At least Gore would have worked on the global warming and energy crisis instead of denying the problem exists.
As of right now I'd say i am leaning McCain cause he's willing to do what Bush always claimed he was willing to do before he was elected, cross party lines and get things done in a bipartisan way.Unless one of the democratic front runners shows me something soon '08 will be one of the years i go the republican route. (Thats if McCain even makes it through the primaries which he probably won't with all the Guliani and Romney bandwagoneers of late).

Way too early to tell. I will have to listen to the debates and find out more about each candidate. I suspect - barring someone spectacular surfacing - that I will vote for a Democrat.

Our system, flawed as it is, it's all we've got. Vote, get involved, Blog(like you just did). What would happen if everyone just threw their hands up and said I'm tired of it?
