It's amazing the level of selfishness exhibited by 30 year old's and under. They want to exercise control and make the demands, but are to scared to actively envolve themselve's. They want it ALL. When will they give back?

Pay attention people. There is no inclusion of "ALL" in the age grouping. Also, it's not about Iraq, and it isn't about politics. It is about any armed conflict. It IS about having the guts.

May be because most 30s and under have not seen a major war unlike the World War, Vietnam or Korea generations have. Iraq is more of a conflict, because the Iraqi terrorists do not have the capacity to engage the US troops in a one-to-one fight

Is that you chickenhawk, or insecure american, going by another avatar because of all times you've been tossed off this forum? If not, that is the same lame, pointless argument that troll makes all the time. I didn't realize there was a draft... I always thought those taxes that I pay go to support a trained military made up of people who knew there was a chance they may actually have to fight in a war. I know a lot of 30 year olds who were in the military but aren't now. In other words they gave military service, are you calling them a coward. My guess is it's easy for someone like you to throw the name "coward" out when you can't see anyone, but we all know you would NEVER have the brass to say it to anyone's face. So who is the coward?

Too many armchair Repubclican Generals in America. Some of the 30's and under are against the war and wouldn't inlist even if they brought back the draft and it meant going to jail. But yes many many Americans sit in their homes and like to call the shot's but would have a sh*t in their pants if the draft were brought back and it meant them putting their money where their mouths are.

I'm 26. Believe me, if I feel the need I will fight for our country to protect my family. Your charge that we are all lazy cowards goes to the heart of why my generation is so disillusioned with yours. Look what you are leaving us - mountains of debt, worldwide U.S. resentment, and a more dangerous country to live in. Why would I want to contribute to the worsening of the country I want to spend the rest of my life in?
Enlisting to fight in Iraq isn't fighting for our country, it's fighting for the interests of the elite and the powerful. When there is a REAL reason to fight, I will.

When this country is under a clear and present threat to the life and liberty of every inhabitant, then I will be among the first in line to die for my country.
But if this government is going to follow the doctrines of pre-emptive striking, wars of self-interest, and generally destroying the fundamentals of what this country was built on, then you can count me out.
I will not die for other's mistakes. I will not die for special interests or corporate profits. I will not die for fear-mongering and hidden agendas.
Live free or die does not come with an asterisk.

It seems to come from the belief that the world owes them something. Why aren't people asking 'What can I do for America'? Why does the question seem to be 'What can America do for Me?'
