Your pubic hair will not grow in longer or thicker if you shave it. I would imagine waxing would be very painful as the hair is pulled out by the root. I've been shaving for a long time, and the hair is the same as it has always been. It will itch like crazy the first time.

I personally dont like shaving all that much but use it when I have to. And no your hair will not grow back twice as thick...lol...there wouldnt be panties big enough to handle half the female population if that were true.

For me personally, a better option is to keep my pubes under control with a hair removal cream such as Revitol. If I shave it properly once and maintain it with hair removal cream it seems to work best for me personally.

Check out http://www.pubichairremoval.net for more information on hair removal creams (Revitol is my favourite and I can vouch for its effectiveness) and pubic hair removal in general

Keep your hair! You can learn to zip more carefully.

1) It is a sign of sexual maturity. Women know that a man with pubic hair is old enough to have sex and father a child. Bald balls make women feel like pedophiles. EEeeeewwww!
2) prevents chafing, so keeps you more comfortable
3) provides warmth in cold weather and helps air circulate to keep you cool in summer.
4) Most important, keeps air circulating to prevent possibly dangerous infections, both fungal and bacterial, which thrive in moist areas with poor air circulation. These infections can also cause foul odors, even if they are not yet established enough to cause a rash.
5) can stimulate the clitoris during sex.

Trimmed hair can allow some air circulation, but the blunt tips can irritate both your skin and your partner's skin. The naturally tapered ends of untrimmed hair are silky and don't poke.

Shaving is best. It just FEELS thicker and more coarse, but it actually isn't. It's also more difficult to find someone to wax it for you. I know several high class spas that offer brazilian waxing, but have no mention of it on the "menu" as they will only treat women, not men, for obvious reasons.
