Blair insists in continuing the fight against terrorism against this country. I believe that if he hadn't stuck his nose into the internal business of other countries, the UK would not have become such a target. As for his puppy dog nosing up to Bush!! Do you agree with me?

I guessed from the exclamation marks that this would be a pretty negative question.

You are, of course, completely wrong. Islamic fundamentalists were planning terrorist atrocities long before Iraq or Afghanistan - the recent Old Bailey trial was of people who planned to bomb the Bluewater Shopping Centre and a nightclub even before 9/11.

The fact is that at the very time that NATO (including a Blair led UK) was taking action to stop genocide against Muslims in the Balkans, Islamic fundamentalists were plotting these attacks. So Britain has been a target for some time. Remember, that the most hardened Islamic fundamentalists have more hatred of the UK (they call us the "Little Satan") that the USA, because of our colonial past.

In fact you could probably put more blame on Arthur Balfour than on Tony Blair. But you didn't want to hear that did you?

No I dont agree with you. The UK was a target for the sick crazed fanatics anyway . There is no justification or excuse for what they do. Blair did what he thought was right . He wasnt to know that Iraq was going to turn into the blood bath it is today. The problem with Iraq and other countries including the UK is the hate that is being preeched and using the islamic religion as a means to justify there sick perverted way of thinking. Blair is and was a good Pm. Lots dont think so but personally I do and he is 1000 times better than John Major. It is our duty as one of the great world players to make sure that tryany is not allowed, that people can be free to express themself as we are doing now and for all people to be free. If that means the death of a few people compared to millions being repressed tortured or even killed, then it is a small price to pay , dont you think??,There are alot of other countries all over the world that have tryants as leaders the rest of the free world needs to stand together to fight this opression. THe fight isnt against the people its for one basic notion being ,Freedom for all.

No. Obviously the fight against terrorism will continue, as long as there are terrorists targeting our free countries. Which they where doing before Tony Blair stood against them. Surely you could not expect the British government to sit back and do nothing, whilst the terrorist have their way. The fight for our freedoms, that we enjoy today, for which many of our ancestors died, will go on.

Blair has released a hornets nest when it come to our current crop of terrorists, these lot believe in dying for their cause, unlike the IRA who wanted to go home after they had planted their bombs. His legacy may well be attacks for many years to come. But now the game has changed and we need to adapt our game plan to take on and beat these Islamic extremists. As for Bush, well he will be gone soon and maybe just maybe America will elect a president with a real head on his shoulders.

The worst part is that Blair lied his way into the war in Iraq, thinking it might make him as popular as the Falklands made Maggie, but when it all went wrong, and as usual with members of the Labour Party, he blamed someone else.... the Intelligence community. Well the Public won't forget and neither will the families of all the dead service men and women. He should be put on trial, never mind farewell tours.

No I don't I think Tony Blair will be remembered as one of the top PMs in English history in about 50 years when we see the true impact of the war on terrorism.

Blair is as discredited as much as Bush, though I think he is more of a follower!

His legacy will not quite be the same as he won't be blamed for innocent Iraqi deaths or the 3,756 returning in body bags! Or a 1/2 TRILLION dollar spending campaign on corporate welfare!

Actually, Bush isn't just "blamed"! He is "responsible"!

Yeah I agree, when Clinton was our great president Tony Blair was well liked and then he came over and started sitting in Bush's lap, being Bush's Lap Dog. No matter what a good legacy you have started, start hanging around with Chimpy and you go DOWN, Down, down. Just Like Georgie it has sunk , their ship has sunk way, way,way down never to return. to surface again.

Overall, a complete mess, too much focus on trivia than the real problems.
