There was a song out in the 80s called I've Never Been to me. It was sung by a woman named Charlene, and it was one of those sappy boo hoo now that I am a grown up woman who messed up her life I realize that being a wife and mother are the only significant things a woman are able to do type songs. Only problem....it was written by men. Now I am all for women discovering things missing from their lives....but I don't need some freaking man to tell me that the only place I truly should be happy is at home cooking his dinner and doing his laundry.
