You can group them into categories:
ppl, btw - people, between. Shorten words to type faster.
lol, omg - Laugh out loud, Oh my gosh. Create acronyms to type faster.
u r 2 kind - more speeding up writing.
1337 haxor n00b - elite hacker newbie - spell words with numbers and incorrect spelling because you think it's cool and you don't realize it looks retarded.
OMG LOL TEH BRDS RAE IN MY BCKYRAD!!!1!!11 - Write like an idiot because you are an idiot.
These are the basic forms of "bad" grammar, spelling, etc, that I often encounter. Yeah some people think the latter 2 are cool but most people just wanna punch people who think that sort of writing is cool.

You're right about text messaging, but it's really hurting proper English. I'm amazed at the terrible spelling and grammar I see even here on Yahoo Answers. I'm not talking about the code words and abbreviations used as in text messaging. I think people don't realize how important spelling and grammar are to success in life.

Some of it is plain laziness. But I agree with other who said the text messaging, and Internet slangs are hurting our language. I am a teacher, and sadly there are times when students have become so use to seeing and spelling words inappropriately, they spell them that way at school as well. Often times they do not even realize what they have done.

Style in some cases..
if you mean the 733T language, that's just subculture. Although I must say, and I'm not english at all, and I still find relatively large amounts of spelling errors here on Yahoo answers, that are not related to any subculture I know off...
