Well, obviously the man is into law related themes. I personally have only read one of his books, The Testament. I really liked it. But here is his official site: http://www.randomhouse.com/features/grisham/main.php

Hope it helps

I have read just about all his books, and yeah I do find them repetitive. They all seem to have a law plot and a love plot and a happy ending. But I haven't read the non-law ones other than A Painted House, I gather those are different and also that he's been stretching himslef a bit more, with them and since.

Yes, he went to law school (Ole Miss I think) and was a practicing lawyer for quite a while before taking up writing. I think he was also in the Mississippi legislature.

He does tend to select off-beat protagonists from book to book and his character developments are something to emulate in writing. I have suspected him of either being a former trial lawyer or at least a paralegal, but for confirmation, seek a bio from his publishing house or even ask.com, Google, Yahoo or MSN searches...you know the drill.

One book that does deviate away from his general theme in his other books is "The Bleachers," which you didn't list. It is very moving and nostalgic for men and most of my female friends have found it enjoyable also...

I think his books are all "formula "story lines.

What are some books by him? (I don't pay attention to the authors.)
