Yes.
We all judge people by the way they look.
Until we know the person we can only judge them by what we see. The wrld is good and bad and the bad things happen to those that dont have a firm defence.
If someone looks thin and gaunt, my first opinion is- junkie.
If someone looks edgy and skinny and diseased- crack head
If someone wears a skin head, looks angry and bewildered-nf
Its bad but until i speak to them thats how i defend my sense of identity.
If you speak in a friendly manner and are not too smooth talking i will give you the time of day.

I personally dont like my judgements but i have to do it and people do it to me all the time.
Im a well built black man and people who are small feel insecure around me.
I dont blame them. I feel insecure around people a little bigger than me but its just the way things are. It aint perfect.
I feel a little offended when people do this especially women, as if im going to do them harm but its a natural response so i must forgive them.

I dress very casual(T-shirts, jeans, sandals) and no makeup but that is just the way I am. Oh yeah, I get judged, but there are ways to shut up people or have them go another direction if they stare or ask a rude question.
#1. Is there something interesting you're looking at?
For people who stare.
#2. My money isn't any good here?
Sales person at a furniture store.
#3.That's my grandchild,(biracial) isn't she adorable?
People who look at my daughter-in-law, granddaughter.

When there are a lot of people around and a person does one of those things, and the situation is reversed, they want to hide quick.

Sadly in our society everyone is judged by how they look, rather or not we like it. Everyone does it - it doesn't matter how 'anti' vain we are, you could be a 'punk' or 'goth' and your going to judge the preppy looking person in front of you. You can be a preppy and your going to look at the 'goth' and the 'punk' and judge them by the way they look. Sadly it doesn't matter your 'social status' or what group you claim, everyone will eventually look at someone that doesn't look like them and judge them. Really it's sad that we live in such a shallow world - but don't feel like your the only one being judged, or the only one judging, it happens every where.

ya. everyone judges people. we have all been stereotype ever since we were born. like if we see someone who looks emo, we asume they cut themselves. when someone is an alchohic we suppose they are stupid
but thats not true
this world needs 2 stop judging people right when they see them
they need 2 go meet them and then decide after they know them better

I think so. I was looking at houses once when I got off work. The builder told me, without asking my income, that I should look at a different developement because they "were more in my price range"! I told him I was going to buy from his competitor in an even higher developement than he was in, and I did. Not just because of that, though. I wanted to see what each development offered.

Of course I have, so has every person on the planet and so do I do it. That is the reason for the phrase "dress for success". Over the years I have gone from shock, dismay, amazement to amusement when I see the reception my 6'6'' Black husband gets from people depending on how he is dressed and where they encounter him. By the way he still doesn't think its funny!

When I see someone looking at me? In a sense of looking at who I look like? Before they say anything. I just walk up to `em and say, Hello Darlin'. That shows them that I know who they think I look like

yea...when I was a teenager I had various colors of hair and a pierced eyebrow...and everyone assumed I was crazy or out to kill people or something...however I worked for charities, I volunteered all of my free time to do work for children's hospital, etc.
