When I play my game guild wars, it shuts off, and it says its because of RAM error. I checked my properties and my computer has 0.99 gigs of RAM but guild wars uses 2516 MB of RAM. If im not mistaken, thats over the amount of RAM I have available. So, how do I increase my RAM?

Hmm, I went to the NCSoft support site and they say Guild Wars wants 256 MB of RAM, not 2516. 512 MB is recommended and 1 GB is suggested.

Maybe try increasing the size of your paging file. My Computer Properties -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> Advanced -> Virtual memory -> Change. Make the maximum size large, like 3072 MB, and reboot.

you have to buy some ram and install it on your computer (it's hardware.) If it's a desktop, it's pretty easy to install it, you just clip it in. A laptop though...I've never danced with that. When I get some more ram I'm going to get someone else to put it in for me. But here is a link for a desktop:

A gig is 1024 mbs. 2516 mbs is almost 2 and a half gigs. So you need like...3 gigs. So you need to purchase 2 more gigs. Depending on the system...a gig probably costs about 80 bucks. Also check to see how many slots you have. You probably only have two.

First, go to the computer store, and buy a RAM (it's a hardware) Check the motherboard compatibility chart because it is important which kind and clock of RAM does your computer"s motherboard support. And put off the screws, and install it into the DIMM slot.

You have enough, your problem is caused by something else.
