I would like to rent a projector for my laptop where would I go to rent one I live in Nothern California? can you rent one of theese? I want to be able to show a movie dvd from my laptop?

Commercial audio-video will rent to civilians (those not businesses) if you provide enough evidence of security. Call the nearest hotel that supports meetings and ask to talk to their audio video supplier or look under Audio-Visual Services in the Yellow Pages. Typical charges are 5% of equipment retail per day or 10% per week from my past experience.
The increasingly common AV home theater stores may also rent.
