Is it bad for your skin? Or does it just wash off?

It just washes off. Swimming with makeup on is no different than washing it off yourself with water before you go to bed.

Actually it's not a bad idea wearing make-up to swim, as makeup, foundation is like a layer of protection, and your skin wouldn't hurt by chemicals , germs, bacterias, directly in a swimming pool. But it will wear off eventually, depends on how long you stay in the pool and if you will rub your face or anything like that.
But make sure you wash your face well afterwards.

I wore makeup in the pool. It washes off, except for mascara. No it is not bad for your skin. Its a way to wash the makeup off your face.

It's not bad. It may come off unless you are wearing waterproof. If you want to go swimming with makeup an avoid smudging, try the brand Makeup Forever !

Iwould not suggest it it only washes off
well most of the time I think I've heard of a makeup that dosen't wash off with out like soap or something

only if it's waterproof. Most makeups won't stay on after you have been in the water. As soon as you dry your face off some of the makeup comes off. They sell makeup that's waterproof for example :apresmakeup.com . Good Luck

Just curl your lashes, and apply waterproof mascara.
Use tinted lip balm with sunscreen.
It's really pointless to wear makeup and go swimming, because when you come out, it will MELT or slide off your face, and trust, that is NOT anyone's best look.
Just bring sunscreen, lip balm with sunscreen and a mirror compact in your makeup bag. It's all you need.

It won't hurt anything, but you will have racoon eyes if you're wearing mascara! If you know you are going swimming, I suggest you use a good coverage powder, no foundation, some lip gloss and either waterproof mascara or clear mascara. The clear doesn't work as well, but it won't leave you with black eyes. Good Luck

it's not a good idea to swim with make-up. If you're in a pool, the make-up would get into the water and then they'd have to refill it. Also it would get a smudged and you would look like a ridiculous clown when you came out.

there are some waterproof mascara that wont wash off but the rest of the make up,iam not to sure about the other stuff.
