Here is mine:
In south africa you need 6 A's in matric (Grade 12) to get into medical school. However if the colour of your skin is 'black' you only need two A's. We need to work ourselves silly just so that some rural guy who failed high school can take our place. This is supposed to 'correct the imbalances of the past' After ten years hmm... nothing changed. I am going to be a neurosurgeun and i am going to emmigrate to England as soon as I finish college. That is a promise.

yep - life is unfair at times - grossly unfair. A few years ago a black lawyer could get banished to Robin Island. Racism now continues but against the whites. Will S.Africa ever get it right? the back lash will continue for a few years yet I fear. Emigrate - become the doctor you're destined to be, then take the knowledge back to your country. If, as you say, some are getting into med school with substandard grades, the need for intelligent, well trained doctors will quickly become evident. You'll be in much demand.
PS -lose the chip - it will hold you back more than grades. Best of luck for the future!

Good question...I had no idea RSA was still doing things like that. Maybe it's not such a great place after all. Well, what did you expect from the coalition of ANC, COSATU, and SACP? Maybe if the IFP gets in they can correct that.
You cannot fight racism with more racism. In the USA we're slowly finding that to be true.

Our governments and employers should not change the rules, by setting quotas, they should change the way we think. Education about equality and tolerance, as always, is the key.

That sounds very unfair and i hope when you get here you buck up our NHS system.. My unfair gripe is; My husband was misdiagnosed,was being treated for chronic constipation and later piles for over a year before they finally discovered he had bowel cancer...He fought on for 18 months after diagnosis and finally lost it February last year..That in itself is unfair but the GMC declared that no one was responsible,it was just "bad luck"...UNFAIR......I'm a widow and shouldn't be.......UNFAIR....

technically that could be changed with protests etc....if not then mine would be the tax system but that can and should be changed.... however the most unfair thing that really can't be changed is getting old.

Chavs.. they all go round thinking they are rocky with there socks over thier tracksuit bottoms, causing crap when they feel like it. I think that is unfair. :)
