Yahoo! Answers points- First of all,Yahoo! gives you 100 points to start with. You can either build that cash up,or spend it all on questions. Your choice. By the time that you get a certain amount,you reach the 2nd level. Being in the 2nd level has it's advantages- you get to vote on peoples' answers and give stars to the deserving questions. Passing the 3rd level means that you can ask more questions,answer more questions and have more freedom.
You get the points so you can ask a lots of important questions that you might need fast answers to,2 points for each answer. For every question that you post you lose 5,and every Best Answer by you is awarded with 10.
Yahoo! Answers is important to a lot of people-it helps us understand some things a little more in life and just plain gives us something to do.

You gain points for answering questions and voting for best answers, and as you gain points, you will eventually gain levels. Each level gives you more power. Essentially, you can only answer so many questions a day, or only vote so many times. The higher your level, the more you can do per day.

Basically nothing. But it's fun to get to higher levels and earn a lot of points. I just made level 6!

Bragging rights and you have ,I think, more slef-confidence. Also the best is always known. Some people just like to be the best or just want to be known.
