Because he WASN'T. Dude I loved Kordell Stewert as a player. He was a decent QB. WAY better then Vick, which proves Vick wouldn't make it on the Steelers. Look back through some of my answers if you can do a search and you will see that I always have said I liked Stewert. Yet he WASN'T the best. Wasn't even elite or great. The problem with him was his emotion. When he threw an INT it would pretty much ruin the rest of his game for him. He was too emotional to be a solid QB. If he could have controlled that he probably could have been a great QB, doubt he would have been the best to ever play though. He may have been one of the best ATHLETES though. His ability doesn't make him a great QB though, because punting has nothing to with being a QB(and he was decent as a punter).

Oh and the Championship game against the Pats wasn't really his fault they lost. By offense and defense the game would have been like 14-7 Steeelers(can't remember the exact final but point is the Steeelers would have WON by a TD). It was the SPECIAL TEAMS that cost them the game. THEY gave up the TWO TOUCHDOWNS, which is why the Special Teams Coordinator was fired. That's also why he made the comment on The Jim Rome Show that sometimes the best team doesn't win. The Steelers had that game won on Offense and on Defense. If those two kicks hadn't been run back(something HE couldn't control) they would have and should have won.

No one will acknowledge that Kordell Stewart was the best quarterback ever to play football probably because he completed only 55.8 % of his passes, threw 77 touchdowns and 84 interceptions and had a 70.8 QB rating. He also never led the NFL in any statistic.

I really did not think he was that good. Being a Steelers fan I watched a lot of his games. He only had a career passer rating of 70.7. He threw more interceptions than touchdowns. he had 77 touchdowns and 84. It seemed like every time it was a big game he blew it. The playoff game against the Patriots. However Kordell was a very good running quarterback. When the Steelers need a big first down he would not be afraid to run the ball.

As a Steeler fan I can say he tried, but did us the biggest favor by getting traded.

In his defense, he was not given the same development that other QB's get. He had a different Offensive Coordinator every year, sometimes he had a quarterback coach and other times he didn't. Guys like Elway and Montana had QB coachs that would grow old with them. At one the point the Steelers messed with his ability to make decisions by making him stay in the pocket to pass when he obviously should have ran. I wonder what he would have become if he had an equal chance the way Ben has or if would have become a receiver.

I renowned that Ryan Leaf grew to become into the desirable QB of all time. Marino, Favre, Montana? HA what a gaggle of jokes Ryan Leaf might have schooled all of them. They rigged all of his video games!! The offensive lineman have been drugged earlier video games and is the reason all of his sacks. The protection grew to become into injected with steriods the week ultimate as much as the video games so as that they are able to be unstoppable, and final yet no longer least, each and all the incompletions and undesirable passes? THE REFS SPRAYED THE BALL WITH COOKING OIL earlier RESETTING IT!!!!!! each and all the conspriacies are authentic! Ryan Leaf grew to become into cheated out of his NFL occupation!!!!

After being beat by the New England Pats in that AFC champ game, he lost all confidence in everyone he played with and thought he could do it on his own.

That idea turned out to be a complete failure.
