because toads like wet/damp places. because its a toad.im not a toad and i dont know why

the toad probably just fell in, i doubt it would just decide to take up residence in your basement (hopefully there isnt any food for it...and if thats the case catch the toad before he dies in a corner and stinks up you basement.)

no must and water seeps in the bASEMENT. horrible issue.
cannot waterproof.
just a pain in the nect at times.
