i just got my very first period on monday, and i dont know if i can use a tampon?
also, how can i be prepared for my 2nd period, since i know it is very irregular the first times....
last one, is there any way to KNOW when i will get it again?

It's perfectly fine to use a tampon for your first period.
You are right that your period is going to be irregular at first.
Some signs that you period might be coming: you might feel like you have a stomach ache lower than your stomach (these are cramps), a dull pain in your side (that's your ovaries releasing an egg, this happens a few days before for me), bloating (gross, but it happens), and you might feel moodier. I always have cravings for food a few days before to when I get my period, and if I don't go out and get what I want I'll eat a lot more of what I am eating.

Yes you can. Buy the most slender tampon and take your time reading the instructions and putting it in.
Count 28 days past your last day of your period (or I've also heard count 28 days from the start of your first period).
Now since you are new at periods, you may be irregular for at least a year, so it might not be every 28 days, you may skip a period altogether or it could be a few months till your next period!
Just make sure you have a stash of pads/tampons just in case it creeps up on you.

Because you just started your period there isn't anyway to really know when it will come around again you should expect it to be quite speratic for the first 6 months or so maybe longer.
You can use a tampon if you feel confortable they do make a jr. tampon so try that one out and remember to not leave it in for more than 6-8 hours.

It is okay, but I think it's best to use pads for a while just to get used to it. You should know when your next period is because most people get cramps before their period, and there is about 28 days in between each one.

You can use one. And always have one in your purse just in case it comes as a surprise.

yes, mine was approx. 28 days till i had my next period.
