It's the old old story of the head and the heart...You are not emotionally involved with other peoples problems...you don't have the stresses that go with their problems. With your own problems you have the emotions that go with them, you have the stress and your 'feelings' take over instead of your common sense 'head thoughts'.
When I have a problem I try to sort it out rationally by using my head...not always easy and takes practice.....thinks what can I do about this???? and if I do what will the result be????
Try to do for yourself what you do for others.
Best wishes, Mike.

i feel there is a solution to every problem the real hard part is THINKING about what your going to do to solve it.

in other words we all have problems - get over it =)

do I ever feel that I have problems I cant work out? sure -

NO ONE IS PERFECT!

luckily i am able to dig through the dirt for now in a manner of speaking..i still have problems but i try not to let them get the 'better' of me.

tommorrow is after all another day =)!

Oh, yes. I think it's because you look at other people's problems objectively (and may not have all the information) so it's easy to believe the solution is black or white. When it's your own problem, you're not only looking at facts but at your perceptions, your beliefs and your emotions, and it's all shades of gray!

no. i can only give out my shoulder and some advice. but i know that every situation has different circumstance and ultimately it's only up to the person that has the problem to do something about it. same thing with myself; i can only solve my own problems.

lol yea. It seems so much easier when it's someone elses problem, but when you're caught up in stuff, it's hard to see a way out. Someone elses opinion is from a different point of view. It's good to ask for advice on times, especially when you're in over your head. xxx

I am a therapist working on phd and i can tell u problems cannot be analyzed. Each is unique to the individual. All we can do is try and support the person. Time is the best theraputic for us all.

yes i do feel like that all of the time. i think that we are more comfortable for helping other people with situations that we can handle but some of our own situations we can't handle on our own

Yes, it's probably because it's easier being the outside perspective on it.

I prefer dealing with others problems than my own.
