This may sound cheesy but "For Good" from Wicked.
The girls in choir sang it for the end of the year concert, and it was pretty sad.
Some of the girls started to cry, and the song just said a lot to the audience.

You need to look farther back in history for some TRULY sad songs. Country music is always going to be your greatest resource. Check out an old Oak Ridge Boys song called "I'll Be True to You" and a not so old Doug Stone song called "Better Off". Even more recent, check out "Streets of Heaven" by Australian Sherrie Austin...that one seriously hurts.

A Greek song called My angel because it's about a guy who died and it's written by his best friend. It's so sad.

I have cried to a lot of songs but a song that I remember sobbing to was "There are holes in the floor of Heaven"

O.K I change my mind, after going on Youtube and Watching Concrete Angel that is the saddest song I've heard.

Concrete Angel by utilising Martina McBride Alyssa Lies by utilising Jason Michael Carroll existence Ain't continually appealing by utilising Gary Allan any of them. there are probable sadder ones, yet i do no longer pay attention to an incredible sort of unhappy songs.

one of the saddest..'Your House' by Alanis Morrisette. (it goes from playful to heartbreaking and her vocals make you feel the protagonist. i don't think there's music with the vocals either)
