those two examples arent really a great example to show for our countries rights and freedoms. though i do have to say that i know personally that this country has many examples of contradicting this . fo r instance the way we want to perform the right to exercise our right to porotest and ""speak freely "". it doesnt always happen , and why ?? because a s soon as you indulge in the threaten the countries political system in any way and want to speak out against , even with the proof on you rpoint , we tend to get shut down because this is how things are done here obviously though we can really make a difference if we all keep our cool and never give up t try to make a point ! be a radical!!!

You are free to do all those things. You can wear a tutu and sing Gilbert and Sullivan songs at a biker's convention. Is this a great country or what?
What your question is showing is that in a free country people are free to have opinions and express those opinions. If their opinions and speech offends you then have the freedom to either offend them back or give up your freedoms.
Freedom isn't easy. It means that sometimes you have to go contrary to public opinion. You may have to stand out. But thank God you have the freedom to be a nonconformist.

We are free to do both these things under the law. No one is going to be put in prison for dressing a baby boy in pink and you can't arrest a woman for not shaving her legs.
The problem is that these things transgress the unwritten laws in society and people are punished by society for breaking them. No matter how free a country is legally, these sanctions will always exist.

People have definitely changed the meaning of freedom. Freedom now is being able to do something and not stand out. Everything is about opinions and such these days. It used to be that freedom was all about the laws. It really sucks that people are more self-conscious these days. Basically, freedom is what it used to be.

Women can go swiming w/out shaving their legs, but thats nasty.
Ans why would you dress a baby boy in pink?
Its not that were not free, its society and civilization that puts these rules.

LOL...No it's not a free country. People aren't "allowed" to die when they want to. If they try and fail, they have to get counseling. Also, people should be able to "use" whatever they want (drugwise) As long as they are only hurting themselves, let them be stupid and kill themselves and clean them out of the "good" gene pool.

We can't be free if we give power to government. Governments make rules, and we follow them or face punishment. Only anarchy is totally free. Then again, under anarchy, who will protect you?
