It does not matter how well you know someone when you get them pregnant. If you are proven to be the father then she can take you to court for child support. Or you could stand up and be a pro-active man and not even let it get to that point. Go to an attorney (assuming the baby is yours) and have some sort of child support arrangement written up. If she doesn't want you in the baby's life you could sign away your parental rights, but think long and hard about that.

Yeah she can. If I were you I would ask for a paternity test first since you don't know her very well. Some girls lie about being pregnant or they will lie about you being the father because they don't like the real father or they don't even know who the father is. If you are the father then you have to pay child support. The court will make you. And right now it might seem scary but a baby is amazing thing. I got pregnant last year, not planned, and my fiance now says he can't imagine life without her. She learns new things every day and its amazing watching her grow up.

If you did the deed and the baby is yours, then yes she and the baby have rights to you for support. Does that mean trouble? Dude when you decided to not wear a condom you were in trouble.

These are the consequences of those few minutes of pleasure. This is why people should not be doing things like that, that can effect another persons whole life, without some serious commitment. Having a baby/family is serious commitment. If that's not what you're looking for keep it in your pants, otherwise pay up!

Let's look at it this way. If YOU got the girl pregnant, why should she Have to take you to court? Have a paternity test done and if the child is yours, be a man and take responsibility like a real man would and should. Why does it matter whether you knew her very well, blah, blah, blah??? That has nothing to do with anything if you got her pregnant.

And in the future, quit fooling around with anyone until you are married. That way you don't have kids running around town by 10 different women (and it could be that many if you don't grow up and quit it)

If you get a woman pregnant, regardless of how well you know her, you are responsible financially for supporting that child. That woman CAN take you to court and have the court award her child support.

ya if the babyis yours or you have been around it for a bit of time. there is a guy in town paying for kids that are not even his but his ex girl friends took him to court and not he has to pay for them. if you wanted to fool around now you may end up paying the price

If your the father of the baby its your job to take care of the child, wheter or not you knew the mother that well. So yes, she can take you to court and have you pay child support.

If you are the dad, then yes in court you may have to pay money for support .... it dosnt matter if it was a mistake, what matters is you are the dad, and have to be responsible for your actions.

She can only get you in trouble in court if you do not live up to your responsibility as the father.
And you should be paying, it does not matter how well you know her, its your kid too.
a bit advice, condom's are cheaper then kids, and quieter too.
