Rosie just made a big thing out of the split screen because they were showing Rosie and Elizabeth at the same time. She just didn't like it. Barbara Walters ( in an interview) said that they have used a split screen before. In another interview I saw (can't remember who), the interviewee said it is common practice to use a split screen and is not at all unusual.

I think they just wanted to show both the person talking the other's reaction at the same time. It makes it more interesting than only watching the person talking, which was usually Rosie.

it wasn't just about the split screen. but Rosie did feel like everyone was making this into more that it was. It started because Rosie and Elizabeth have different views on the war and Rosie was asking Elizabeth why she didn't defend Rosie. Elizabeth didn't answer and they just argued from then on......

I don't get the issue with that either, but Rosie seems to think that the split screen was some kind of conspiracy to make them look like they were on opposite sides......which they were! Rosie has just gone off the deep end in my opinion. She's loud and obnoxious and doesn't listen to anyone but herself.

It wasn't the split screen. Rosie called our troops terrorists because they had killed tons of Iraquis so far. Then Elizabeth started arguing and Rosie atttacked her for being a republican.
I am so glad Rosie left (or was fired) When she had her show (years ago and was in love with Tom Cruise) she was a happier person, very funny and did not make issues about her sex preference. But once she came out of the closet, she became this obnoxious, intolerant person who thought any one disagreeing with her was againt lesbians.
I don't care if she's a lesbian or not, I cannot stand her as she doesn't accept or respect if your point of view is different from hers. And she is trying to sell to every woman that lesbianism is the right choice and option for women, she simply doesn't respect others.

She have been given right into a heated argument with Elizabeth Hasslebeck. Rosie lost. So she tucked her tail between her legs and desperate to no longer comprehensive the final 3 weeks of shows. She is an anti-united states of america of america blabbermouth. besides the incontrovertible fact that it is her precise as an American to declare what's on her strategies. I do exactly no longer desire to hearken to the drivel that spews forth from her mouth. that's MY precise as an American!

Due to all the problems I have heard about regarding The View (since Rosie joined), I think it would be in everyone's best interest to ummm...."let her go", to say it in kinder terms. I dont watch The View, but Rosie has made soooo many news stories (what with all her viscious actions) that she has apparently taken away from the show!

It was just seen by many (including those involved) as cheesy to pit the two against each other visually...you never see that done on respectable shows, and Joy was totally right in calling out "Who's directing this show? Go to commercial!"

Accentuating that kind of meltdown on a television show is tacky and tasteless. Far more Springer than "The View" has generally aspired to.

....FIRST OF ALL FOR THE FIRST PERSON ON THE COMMENTS, YOU NEED TO STOP YOUR CRAP....

It's the simple fact that Elisabeth is a strong republican and republicans hate when people think with their own minds.

***I PERSONALLY LOVE ROSIE and dont care what everyone else says the only reason why people dont like her is because she says whats on her mind and doesn't give a crap what people think...****
