An American can't simply grow up to be President of the United States. First, he/she has to run, find enough people who will contribute to their campaign and get a majority of the votes from the voters and the Electoral College. It also helps if they know how to lie very well with a straight face.

I'm sorry, I don't get the question. No blaming Clinton, who are you blaming?

Any natural born American citizen can run for president as early as the age of 35. Have you contacted the Democratic Party to run? Seems Democrats have all the answers, or maybe it's just yahoo troll that have all the answers.

look at your historic previous, sweetie. a million. most of the contemporary Presidents (Clinton, Carter, Reagan, etc) have been former Governors. The Governor is the administrative branch of the State, basically because of the fact the President is the administrative branch of the federal government. as a result, journey as a governor is amazingly appropriate. 2. If being a US Senator components high quality journey, then why don't you vote for Biden or Dodd? that they had greater desirable than two times as plenty journey as Hillary (or Edwards or Obama). 3. It additionally bothers me approximately how she's attempting to pawn off 35 years of journey. On a scale of a million to 10, I provide her journey as First woman some 2.5 in terms of relevance. She have been given to play around with univeral wellness care, met some significant figures the two domestically and across the international, and represented the US on issues like funerals. thus far as her different "credentials" in this time, i think of they are exceedingly suspect.

In theory, yes. Clinton was proof that you could come from modest means, but generally there has to be a deep family connection and/or wealth.

One strange fact, though, is that virtually every US president has had English royal family ancestors. I think only Carter did not have some English royal blood in the last 50 years. Maybe there is something in the DNA that makes someone rise to leadership?

I think it rather obvious that only someone who is very self-promoting could possibly become President. No one else would be willing to go through what it takes to run.

That said, I suspect the proportion of the American population who qualify on that criteria alone is around two to three precent.

Of course, this pretty much means that all the candidates are ego-manics doesn't it?

Btw, your $10 million figure is wildy exaggerated. Even the unfunded liability of our social service plans is only around 30 trillion and with 300 million people in America, the unfunded maybe someday debt is about $100,000 per person.

And that's if our grandchildren fail to wake up to the high and soaring tax rates we've voted to saddle them with (note that they don't get to vote because they are children). If they do wake up, you might well see the unfunded liability become zero in 2040 because their Congress cancells the whole program and rejects the taxes.

:-)

Oh.

It only costs $40,000 to sign up to run for president. If you've got the money you can do it but you're too busy crying about "rich Americans" so you could never run for president.

It takes a lot of money to become President, but technically anyone born in America can become the POTUS. I honestly think the person who wants to be POTUS the least should get the job because you should always worried about those who want that much power.
