Do it to piss people off, that's a good motivator.

It would appear that you have asked, in effect, two questions. The first is "Why go on living?" The second would be, "What am I to do with the time while I'm here?"

To answer the latter question first, the simple fact is no one can give you ambition. You have to decide for yourself what it is that you most desire in life, then you have to choose to pursue it. It's your choice. If you're not putting out any effort towards accomplishing or acquiring anything, then it's either because you don't truly believe it's worth going after or you don't believe you are able and/or worthy of attaining such a thing. But, dwelling on doubts about self-worth and what-not just wastes a lot of time. If you want to do something with your life, decide what it is, then do it.

As to "Why go on living?," this kind of question suggests you may be suffering from depression. The best thing you can do for yourself is to seek counseling from a professional therapist. It may save your life...or at the very least, save you a lot of time in understanding what it is you want out of life and how to get it. The purest, most practical, reason to go on living is simply there is no satisfactory alternative. Dead is dead. There is no afterlife. At least as long as you're alive, there's always the chance that you'll figure out what you can do to make your own life tolerable, perhaps even enjoyable. Good luck!

My first comment for you is that most of life cannot be explained, only witnessed and experienced. I have had several out of body experiences where I was as conscious as I am now, seeing my body in bed asleep, knowing completely who I was with all my past memories of friends and family, yet I seemed to be a thought ball or mist of light that could move at three different speeds, and I somehow turned extreme fear into extreme fascination and curiosity about reality beyond our wee little five senses, and YEE FREAKIN HAW! I was having a blast with this new experience! There are no ordinary moments my friend, only dulled awareness. The Now is always New. Life is a fantastic mystery with endless possibilities, we have endless potential. Get away from TV as much as possible because it is secondary experience and can dull out your own creative thoughts. Music, Music, Music, and an art form can help you FEEL more passion in your life.
stay open and maybe read a book called The Peaceful Warrior.
I wish fun and levity for you. Also try and feel equal with everyone by practicing non-judgment. We all got a free ticket to this carnival Earth, we might as well enjoy the ride!
Peace in and out

I know you said you are not suicidal but this still applies. ( I just went back and reread your question ) You are valued...you are needed...even if you can not see that at this moment. Everything has a time, and a purpose. You always hear that things will get better, sometimes they do, sometimes things get worse before they get better, but there will be a day when you are happy to just be alive....we all go through stuff, some people have a road that is so much harder than others, but what you are going through will make you stronger, such a cliche, but true.....hold on, hold on to life with everything inside you...it is so precious and rare. You can not be sure what would happen to you after death. Is it all black, nothingness, which is what most people who kill themselves want. or is there a punishment for killing yourself as some believe, will you just be returned to earth again as in reincarnation and have to go through it all again from the beginning, or is there a heavenly Father who is waiting with open arms and forgiveness. There is help out there..and I know how hard it can be to go find it when you feel as you do, but there are people who care. Email me if you want...

You seem really intelligent but also that you get picked on a bit. Its possible other people pick on you and do cruel things to you because they are a bit jealous. I know times are a bit tough right now but it seems like you have things together and are working in the right direction. I wish I had better advice for you about feeling lonely and that your friends are excluding you. Honestly I am going through a lot of simular things right now and it really has me down. I don't think there is any brilliant answer to the problem. Just keep getting up each day, showering and doing the best you can and keep up with your school work. It sounds like you will make a great friend to people and definatly a great girlfriend to some really lucky guy who will appriciate you. So I am sorry things are tough now, but I really think it sounds like you have a lot going for you. Just hang in there, and spoil yourself a bit for the time being.

let me be honest with you. We're pressured, conditioned, and taught to have ambition, flair, success, and all that.

If we don't we don't, forcing yourself to do it just because it's what society respects, will make you feel like you're cheating/lying to yourself, and you won't want to go on with your life. If you temporarily don't feel like society wants you to, it's perfectly okay.

You're just not naturally inspired, and there are MANY reasons why in today's world one would lose inspiration, motivation, and hope.

Don't listen to the masses, and the competitive mary's. They'll only tell you what society wants you to believe, stay true to yourself and save your mental health, b/c no one out there will save it for you.

Ultimately there is no definitive point in life because we technically get old and die, however, most people like robots seem to adapt to some sort of a normal ordained system of being, that and the fact that you need money to pay for everything, and they get caught in that trap.

Maybe they're just mindless fools, or forever dreamers, or greedy or god knows how many things.

The point is, you need to stay true to yourself, and find your own reason to live.

If you really have none and that's how you feel, that's perfectly okay.

If you believe there are no real reasons, maybe there are none.

But you only get one chance at this.

Death is forever. Or at least, we don't know what's after this.

Life can feel like a chore, but there is some good.

Just let go of pressure, and other bs.

Gosh you remind me of me. at the moment i am down as well after pursing a girl I loved but she did not like me back. anyway what is your reasons for this? But whatever you do and decide always keep those three factors in mind,

1 Your healthy
2. I am sure you have a wonderful family and friends that love you very much! :)
3. Whatever you want to do in life JUST DO IT!

I have made a fool of myself sometimes over things and i had bad choices etc but we cannot let the bad things in life get the better of us. Keep going! You only get once chance to live and you have it! I am a male nurse i see sick people everyday and trust me DON'T COMPLAIN!

Good luck!

Remember you won't always feel the way you feel right now. Feelings pass like everything else even the good ones. When times are tough that's when we grow emotionally. Going through that will give you inner strength and that's totally attractive. Ambition and flare hmmm. . . find something you're passionate about that will help.

Go to Polls and Surveys section and read the crazy bizarre q's they ask there. It will get you laughing!
Then you will remember that life is mostly good and funny - but you need to make it that way - and for me, a good laugh makes everything seem brighter.

Other awesome things in life:
South Park
Stephen King novels that are scary
a great kiss
Anticipation
brownies
new shoes
autumn leaves
smores
little kids laughing
freshly laundered clothes
thunderstorms

you are important. without you the world would not be the same. maybe you are someone's son or brother or uncle or relative. maybe your are someone's friend. you may be someone's crush. you may be the person to develop or discover something great in this world that no one has thought of yet and without you the world would have to wait.
you are also important because you are a person given a life with emotions, feelings and ideas. you are an individual a person with a mind and soul. God loves you. I know there are people that love you too. Email me if you want I would like to be your friend. Peace to you.

Think the pain you mother gone through when she bore you. Would all that go in vain . Put your head in the lap of your mother , think about it and all such disillusionment will vanish .

You touch so many peoples lives that it would be unfair of you to find a point of life still. Got a daughter, for reason ?
