Hi
This as also happened this week to a friend of mine, he has just had a bill of £1,188.
This is over the last four weeks, unfortunately he has learning difficulties as well as hearing problems. His service provider are not bothered as long as they get the money so it looks like a case for citizens advise. If he has downloaded or answered any texts this may have caused the problem but there should be something that can be done to stop this. I'm sure he s not the first or the last to be conned this way,
as he is a good friend of ours we will help him sort this out but it looks like he will end up having to pay the full amount.
So someone is out there making a load of cash and it should be stopped.

sometimes at the end of a text it gives you the time someone texted and the number where theyr at. Either jot number and dial it in or press REPLY and let the phone do it automatically. May be worth keeping the saved message in ya bank til its sorted as thats ya proof for having sent it...
If you type STOP and send it back that may help
Other than that contact your provider
Other than that get one of the new sims and change your number. Vodaphone PAYG have new number sims on offer with £1 free credit; and you also get another £1 if you register the phone with them. So the £3 text charge cant be done to some1 who they cant find can it?

get a new sim, and number, let the buggers keep sending messages. cos it will cost them in the end,

Reply to one of the messages with the words STOP ALL. Use capital letters. If they don't stop contact your service provider, or take it up with OFCOM or ICSTIS. If you find out the origin you can sue if they don't stop.
