Last night I turned it off to disconect my tower and move it to another room. When I reconnected everything it only had a green light flashing in the back. No power to anything else. It worked before I turned it off. No sounds or clicking or beeps. Just a green light flashing in the back. Am I not connecting something right? HELP! Thanks

Try this, if it doesn't work you may have a power supply problem. Disconnect everything except the keyboard mouse and monitor. NO OTHER PLUGS NOT EVEN THE POWER CORD. Wait about five minutes (just to be sure the power has been "drained")

Connect the power cord and then see if it will turn on.

If it does then reconnect the rest of the cords.
If it still makes no noise etc call for professional help - the power supply has probably just died.

First make sure that your power cord is connected securely. Then check the back of your tower and see if there is an on/off switch. Turn it on.
Also make sure that the little switch in the back is set to 115.
If it still doesn't work then your power supply probably blew out.

That is the Battery. All desktops have a chargeable battery to store computer information. The reason why its flashing is because it lost all of the information or the battery is malfunctioning. You need to contact HP.

Since it was working OK before you moved it, the connections are suspect.

Recheck all your connections. Make sure to look at the connector on the cable and the receptacle on the PC to make sure you have the connector aligned properly and that you are not forcing a mismatched connection. .............. Good luck.

It could be that while you were moving it, you might have hit something with it accidently and now your processor's busted... or your hard drive
Check all the cables like this:

AC Plug 1 <========AC Cable======> Back of tower
AC Plug 2 <========AC Cabe======> Monitor
VGA/DVI/HDMI video connector on monitor<=Video Cable=> Back of tower
AC Plug 3 <========Cable=========> Speakers
USB <========> Keyboard
USB <========> Mouse

if you connected to 1 power outlet in your room, and your HP is not working try another one.
