Yes, why not? Mineral water can be bottled straight from the tap & sold legally. Why pay for the plastic bottle when you can get water out of the tap?

Bottled water stored in plastic bottles for more than a few weeks has been demonstrated to contain chemicals leached from the plastic that cause cancer and have female hormone-mimicing effects which can reduce male fertility.

Bottled water often contains 10 to 50 times more bacteria than tap water

Bottled water is bad for the environment:-
+ the plastic for each bottle is made from fossil fuels;
+ the factory that bottles the water uses far more energy than a water pumping plant
+ the bottled water has to be transported by truck, contributing to increased exhaust emissions
+ the bottles then have to be transported from the store where you buy them - more exhaust emissions unless you walk or cycle
+ even if the plastic bottle is recycled after use, the recycling process uses more energy than just turning the tap on.

Everyone who has tap water that is fit to drink (either with or without filtering) should drink it rather than bottled

No it taste nasty! There is nothing wrong with the city water but I wont drink tap water from anywhere. Bottled water 4 me!

I sometimes drink tap water but I like bottled water better. To me it has a cleaner taste

NEVER! Tap water is the leading cause of ateriosclerosis (scarring of the arteries). The chlorine and other chemicals used in cleaning and treating tap water is very dangerous to your health. About the only thing tap water is good for is flushing your toilet.

At home, I drink tap water. However, my husband won't drink it, he drinks distilled water, hmm? In some cities, the tap water tastes bad, so I drink soda instead. But you know what? We can't live forever, so I drink it......lol.

if ur paying for it and its coming out the tap, mite aswell drink it...and i wont go into all the enviroment things..but alot of ppl wudnt recycle those plastic bottles which is another good reason to drink tap water..well thts unless ur country advises not to drink the tap water...theen i wudnt lol xx
