That's lonely yes.
The loneliest sight I've seen recently was a sweet neighbor lady sitting on a park bench at our local park by herself. Her family is all far away and her grandchildren with them.
My youngest and I introduced her to some of the children in the neighborhood and had her join in with pushing the swings.
Nothing like joining in! :)

Yes i have....from a widow's walk in a castle...watching the fishing boats go out to catch their due...and never knowing who would come back...most did and some did not...often i stayed up there and wept...i was not waiting for anyone, only feeling those who must have eknwn that most silent of times and the worrying..and the courage to continue in the community with a smile, each heart beating for the fear of it...for the Nor'easters on the Atlantic are merciless ...i have watched them......safe in a castle, praying for those at sea and their families.......THAT is lonelier......knowing i could not soothe a soul who had lost someone or was worried they might never return.....
Cheers!

Yes, I have... and although the question was probably rhetorical, I've seen some pretty lonely times as I know you have Mike.
The picture of a mom and her kid, sleeping in their car at a walmart parking lot cause they've got nowhere else to go.... that stuff brings out my compassion....awwww knock it off.... ya got me starting to cry...

So beautiful--sparkling and pristine in the sun--just waiting for someone to come and float along on it's calm surface. . . I can't resist any more. Would you like to join me?
