Put the pictures that you want to view in the My Pictures file in your My Documents section.Then go to your control panel section and open the Display box. Then select screen saver, thats where you'll see the My pictures option. You can select the slideshow transitions, such as how long it should take to start and things like disolve or left to right. The slideshow will not start until your computer has sat and done nothing for what ever amount of time you have selected.

Some pc's that operate on Windows XP also come with Windows Movie Maker. Just click the start button and look under All Programs on the start menu. If you have it installed on your pc that's probably where you will find it.

If you have Microsoft's office you can do it with powerpoint, if you do not have office, you can get a free product called open office which is similar, with programs that are like word, powerpoint and excel. It is at openoffice.org

You can do it using programs, what kind of slideshow?? Do it using the windows movie maker
