I've been looking everywhere for them! They're silver and start out small but you can pull them out and they can be used for presentations and used as a pointer and stuff...

It's been so long, I don't remember exactly where I got mine, but you should be able to find them at OfficeMax, OfficeDepot, Staples, etc.
However, you may want to consider the Laser Light version of the old pointer. The nice thing about them is that you don't have to be right next to the display that you want to point at and allows you more freedom to move about during your presentation. Moving around a little is good for keeping your audience's attention. In addition, the laser pointers usually have a flashing mode that also helps to get their attention, when you've moved the "point" and helps their eyes to find and focus on the new location quicker.
