Authorities just unfoiled a terror plot against JFK, what does this have to do with Iraq???

There was a terror plot to bomb various parts of JFK that was luckily unfoiled by federal authorities. Thank god that the terrorists were not successful.

But now I can't help but wonder, what does this have to do with the notion that we should stay on the offensive in Iraq so the terrorists don't "follow us home." This thought is just absurd because:

1) There are terrorists all over the world, including the U.S., and don't forget the ones in Afghanistan and Pakistan who attacked us on 9/11.

2) Why can't terrorists come to Amercia while we are in Iraq. Are we stopping every single one from stepping on a plane to the U.S. by fighting a war there???

3) So the most important solution to stopping terrorists from coming to the U.S. is enhanced Homeland Security, extremely strict illegal immigration restrictions, screening of 100% incoming cargo.

Bush is an evil dictator and he has drawn so much hatred for the U.S. that we are more of a target from terrorists then before.

Nothing, Most of the 9/11 hijackers were from saudi arabia. Why are we in Iraq. Should we be in saudi arabia. The guys from JFK were from Central america.

We can do the dog and pony show at the airports but the US is not stopping them(terrorist).

Your reasoning will be the death of us all, yes increased homeland security is a start, but consider this. If AL Quada wins and takes Iraqi. Iran is already in league with them, they both hit and take Saudi Arabia, 70% percent of the oil is gone. Then what???? green energy? get real, how many trucks hauling food to your grocery store do you see runing on "clean fuel" How many homes that use heating oil, do you see freezing without it, ever heard of Plastic, guess what it is made of. Oil is what runs our lives, like it or not, unless you wish to live in a cave in the dark wiping you butt with a rock, you might want to come back to reality, because right now your "evil dictator Bush" is the only one with the guts to stand up to the likes of Hussain obama, and Bill jr. so unless you want to see suffering the likes of what you can not immagine, get your head our of the sand, and think about what you are saying.

We are helping to stop terrorism here, but we also must do it around the globe or terrorism will just continue to grow in other parts of the globe.

Oh, we are not more of a target than before...

So, it was about time we DID something about terrorism.

And, no, we are not stopping every terrorist from stepping on a plane here, but we are trying to stop them from blowing up a car bomb or an IED there.

We are fighting a war on Terrorism...there are terrorists in Iraq...

While we take off our shoes before boarding planes, a guy with extremely drug resistant TB got on at least two airplanes even though he was on a "no-fly" list.

I doubt we can really keep unknown terrorists off of planes.
