does a music summer school, regional orchestra and school orchestra count as band geek? Cos if so... i guess i am!
But hey, this way we get to meet the intelligent, coolest and hottest people everywhere and travel interesting places and meet new people all the time! and i get to make music!

I don't like that term, but yes, I was in band in middle school, and I will be in band freshman year. I play the trumpet, and I don't like playing the trumpet... however, I DO like the fact that I'M LEVEL 6 now! Thank you very much.

I was in an Army Cadet Band. I was, in point of actual fact, The Drum Major.

No I wasn't, but I knew a few when I was in school and now they are really cool people who have lives and actually make money. Also, don't label yourself, it limits who you are/can be.
