Should Zambrano and Barrett be traded?

After the "fight" yesterday in the Cubs dugout, should the Cubs trade Zambrano and/or Barrett?

NEGATIVE. its not the first time teammates fight. their professionals they should get over it and move on. Zambrano needs to find his groove. His velocity and arm level are off compared to last 2 years. something tells me rothschild has been working on "mechanics" again. They should get rid of him. Barret is a good catcher. going through a mini slump right now but everyone does. he'll get out of it. besides who's gonna replace barret, Blanco? hope not.

Absolutely not. Barrett is probably a top-five catcher in the National League, and Zambrano can be one of the better pitchers in the NL. What the Cubs need is a veteran pitcher on that staff to provide some leadership, because having a volatile personality like Zambrano as a number one starter is risky at best.

Zambrano has immense talent but does not do well under pressure. He is not taking the Cubs to a higher level.

Barrett is also a crazy hothead. He has had bad fights with Houston and the White Sox. He was wrong in both cases and did the team no good.

Top of the line pitching and receiving are difficult to replace. But waiting may not help a thing.

I think both are free agents after the season, correct? If so, if they think they can actually re-sign either or both, don't trade. If they don't then they should.

Following yesterday's fight, I'm assuming neither one is going to want to be on the same team as the other one, so one of team is going to go for sure following the season.

Personally, if I have to pick, I'd rather see Barrett leave. He's a decent/good hitter, but I still think he's pretty bad on defense and I don't like the way he calls a game. Also, all those mental errors he keeps making (throwing BEHIND a runner, getting picked off base) aren't endearing himself to the management or the fans

They should not trade them, the best reason being because Zambrano only has one year left on his contract. Barrett should not be traded because all he did was try to defend himself from that crazy bastard Zambano. Poor Carlos was probably just a little upset that he got shelled on his Birthday.

Nope, neither one. They are both very solid players, and the Cubs need them both. What happened was a matter of tempers flaring up as they occasionally do.

Teammates and clubhouses have a way of being able to move on from these kind of things. This is not something that has not happened before.
