In a few years, the 49ers will make their run at the super bowl, and Gore will be their engine. The 49ers have a great defense now adding Patrick Willis and Nate Clement, and I see them in a couple of years getting some WR's to help the pass and running game. Give Alex Smith and the 49ers a couple years, and they will be in the super bowl.

I think Gore can help the 9ers to the Super Bowl. Not right at the moment, but with this yrs draft their on there way. Just missing playoffs last yr and I think they will make this yrs playoffs and possibly get to the 2nd round. Smith will have a good yr, Gore will most likely be within the top 5 RB again, hopefully Vernon Davis can have a better yr, and adding Jackson to the offense they should do well. And the defense should def. do a lot better this season.

I certainly hope so.
But the running game alone won't help you get to the Super Bowl (just ask Barry Sanders).
If Alex Smith continues to improve, and Nolan keeps making the right decisions in the off season they would certainly be a perrenial play-off contender again. And with the NFC's wildly fluctuating hierarchies (Eagles, Seahawks, Bears, Saints, Panthers, Cowboys, all uneven and unpredictable), the Niners would make a Super Bowl run in a couple of years if they have enough experience.
So, yeah, they will. And if everything works out, Gore would be wearing a Super Bowl (or at least, an NFC Champs) ring.

Sorry to burst your bubble! Not happening anytime soon! 49ers are much improved, But its a pretty "up 4 grabs" division! Seahawks will be some what tough again. I believe they will be on a down fall , they had their chance! Rams.you never know with this team! Put up 35 against a tough team, and score 10 the next weekagainst the Lions! You get my point! Cardnals will be tough, I know! Cardnals and tough,in the same sentence! Believe it! You gotta hope 4 those three teams to beat up on each other, Win the division,or at least snag a wild card birth! But the 49ers wont get past a few teams in the confrence, Saints,Panthers,Eagles,Bears! But this is why we play the games!

I think the 49ers have a real chance, they have Alex Smith and Frank Gore, plus they added Nate Clements. They had a solid draft and offseason. They can at least make the playoffs.

It's very possible. And it could happen sooner than you think. The Niners have had the best offseason of anyone this year in my opinion. They pick up two veterans to bolster their secondary in Nate Clements and Michael Lewis. They picked up Darrell Jackson and Ashley Lelie; Jackson who has proven that he can be a difference maker (although he does tend to drop passes at critical times) and Lelie who has a ton of potential. Also, I expect Alex Smith to have a breakout year. With that being said, if Gore rushes for 1,500 yards (which he probably will) I say they run away with the NFC West and could very well reach the Super Bowl next year, especially in the far inferior NFC.

I believe with the talent the 49ers picked up this off season they hace a chance to get to the playoffs. No the super bowl yet but I could see them at least making the playoffs

Of course he'll help, but they have a long ways to go. I think that young team needs a couple of seasons under their belt first. They're my top pick to win their division, but when they get up in the playoffs and playing teams like the Saints and Bears then thats when it counts. Vernon Davis will have a break out year and 2 huge additions in Clements and Jackson will bring some leadership and structure to the team. I dont think Gore will have the season he did though, but will be solid. We'll see

Let's start with winning the division and heading to the playoffs first. Last year we had a very shaky team but with the acquisitions in the offseason I can see the playoffs as a real possibility. Super Bowl in about 3-4 years. GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!
