This question is for Conservatives only.

I know Liberals will give me a crappy answer about how bad of a President Reagan was and how Clinton was the greatest President who ever lived, when Clinton just tried to show how cool he was and have sex with White House interns and intentionally not captured Osama over 5 times and got us involved with 2 conflicts (Kosovo and Somalia), and then pulled us out soon after the mission started, then lied to the nation on national television, then admitted he lied later on. Reagan helped end the Soviet Union, was an honest and true Conservative, and made the 80's some of the best years in American history.

Regean was a great president. As we see regean economics work. Cut taxes and the economy will prosper. Look at the economy we have now by using his model. Unemployment below 5% a hell of alot better than it was under Clinton.

We need another Ronnie

Any president is supposed to be the president of ALL people, not just conservatives. You're question is pointless because instead of giving reasons beyond bumper sticker rhetoric why you think Reagan was so great, you spend most of the time criticizing Clinton and getting your facts wrong in the process. For example you do know, don't you, that it was Bush 41 who sent troops into Somalia, not Clinton.

Looking back on it, Reagan was pretty good. I never voted for him but through the glass of history, he die well. Lousy environmentally, his hiding his head in the sands with regards to AIDS, the Iran-Contra scandal all were problems.

But he brought something intangible to the country. After the Nixon debacle, Ford (who was a fine man and a fair president), Carter (also a fine man but a poor president), Reagan and his "Morning in America" stuff really rang a bell with the American people. So, although he simplified stuff, dismantled good organizations (he really gutted the EPA and OSHA) he will be remembered well in history.

I also think Eisenhower and Clinton will be remembered well.

Bush, however has his own little spot in hell.

I will admit I was a liberal in the 80's and just followed the liberal mantra and bias of the time....and thought Reagan was the worst ever, destroying the country ( That's why it is funny to see all the Y/A left posters almost repeating a script with just add "Bush")

But as I got older and matured I left my bias behind and realized, while not the best, he was a top tier Lincoln president..... the type we need again

Reagan was a great President. He got results and he inspired others. He protected America.

Who was the greatest list are a waste of time.

I'm a liberal, and I don't think he was a bad president. I just think he could have done a lot better without the Bush administration pulling all the strings. He announced that he would NOT use Bush as his running mate, then a few weeks later, he announced Bush will be. He was pressured into it. But that's politics.

As a Conservative, I can say that Reagan was a spectacular President. If I had to choose, however, I would go with Richard M. Nixon.

Do not jump to conclusions. This has nothing to do with his innocence/guiltiness in Watergate, but his foreign policy was amazing. He went to a communist China and opened ties of communications with them, which then opened communications ties with many other countries.

He, my friend, was a great President with one small pot hole.

He was the greatest president of the 20th century by far. Only Washington and maybe Lincoln were greater.

Is this the same Ronald Reagan who signed an immigration reform bill that opened the doors for what we're dealing with as we speak?

Is this the same Ronald Reagan who fired 20,000 federal employees because he didn't like their union?

Is this the same Ronald Reagan who was responsible for the Iran/Contra scandal?

If you consider this being a good president, then Ronald is all yours. You're more than welcome to him.
