Well, Im a spiritualist and I also used to read tarot cards. (Still could if I got a new deck). I think some people who claim to be able to predict the future are liars and con artists. Others are genuine people who either have a gift or who have studied hard to maintain some kind of understanding of the psychic world. It is hard to know the diference because anyone can set up shop as a fortune teller. The best way to try and find a genuine one is by asking around, preferrably people you know well. Someone will have someone they can recommend from experience.

be skeptical and cynical. did a paper on psychics for a Sociology class and proved there was really no truth to their predictions. the answers received were different from each other, were totally wrong or the answers could be interpreted any way by the reader. ten years later after the class was receiving advertisements from psychics and fortune tellers I never heard of.

There was a fortune teller in my neighbourhood. She was not giving payment receipts. She got arrested.
She could not read her own future.

I think that there are some people with that ability.... but it's probably only because they made a pact with the devil, or something!!

But most fortune tellers are just a fraud!

I think that some have a gift. I know that some make things up. I went to a psychic fair once and while I was there, I won an extra reading so I saw two people.

The "free" reading guy told me that I had just gotten out of a bad relationship 6 months prior, which was true. He told me I was married before. I told him No, I have not been married. He said that is what the cards say....... I told people at the fair not to take readings from him and waste their money.

I think that a lot of them will go by what you tell them or your body language.

I only take it as entertainment purposes. I have not been in a long time.

I did go to a lady named Linda who just talks, no cards.... She told me some things that later came true, which shocked me. I sat down after my uncle died and told her nothing. She said before I actually sat down that I had an uncle here. That gave me goose bumps. I previously had showed her a picture of my mother and just told her to tell me about this woman. I didn't tell her anything. She knew my mother was dieing. My mother had skin cancer. She told me things in a gentle maner. She told me for 5 years about some man I was going to meet. I hadn't met him yet. I met someone else now and am happy dating this guy. I think that you cannot live by what they say. I find that if you do, you will constantly be looking for what is said and you may miss out on things.

My sister is totally against them and said unless they say in Jesus name, they are of the devil.

I Have not been to one in years now and I am happy with who I am. She may have been true and she actually gave me hope when I was down. I don't expect anything to be true.

You will go by your own instincts. Never let one get you to tell them things if you go to one. They are suppose to know, not get you to tell them information.

Otherwise, prayer works much better for me. I don't have to know what is going to happen. It is a better thing not to know sometimes. Best wishes to you.

I think some pick up on the things you give away when you talk to them, and others just try to bluff their way through.... i don't believe they' re real... if we humans learn to tap into our own intuitions, gut feeling call it what you will, we too can be spot on sometimes with many things, it's all about tuning in.

I really wouldn't trust any of them. If they could tell the future would they be in the situation which you find them in?
