Candy, that feeling of sugar shards breaking off at awkward angles and stabbing you in the gums....priceless

I like candy apples better in theory, but the problem with both is the apple part. I like apples, but by the time I'm through all the candy I'm not in the mood for one anymore and I end up throwing it out. Sad really, probably missed out on a lot of good apple.

Caramel apple, for sure, but they must be made with a less-sweet varety of apple: Granny Smiths are perfect!
Candy apples have a bitterness that I don't like.

Ugh.. I remember tasting a candy apple in the fair when I was like 5... it got all stuck to my teeth, and made my hands all sticky, and i could barely hold it up... I guess I'm traumatized because I never think about buying one when I go to the fair every year.. lol

mmmm, yes. caramel apples!

I haven't had one in so long, and it's something I really want, but I'm vegan, and I can't find caramel without milk in it. I know, weird..

but yes...at carnivals..and my grandmother used to make them when I was a kid.
