You can have sex whenever you want.

On your period, off your period.

Just make sure you use protection (condom).

What brand of birth control are you on.

Why didn't you take the pills that week?

If you have been taking your active pills as prescribed and are just talking about the week you don't take a pill or take the inactive pills you should be able to have sex at any time.

Just remember that no birth control is 100% effective all of the time.

waiting 7 days after your period to have sex, is a very good idea and make sure it is SAFE SEX!!!! you're supposed to take it the day your period is due. you should be taking them while you're on your period but if you miss a day or a week, just take them when your period comes around again. but make sure you still practice safe sex.
