Did you know the correct pronunciation is "Bruce-ketta"? I said this in a restaurant and the dumb waitress 'corrected' me with a smirk and "you mean brooshetta?".
What kind of smart-@ss remark should I have made?

Just tell her you speak fluent Italian.
My husband lived in Italy for a year and a half and it is indeed as you pronounced it.
I have had waitstaff correct me when I correctly pronounced endive. The 'correct' way is on-deev, not in-dive.
