I mean really, people talk how they are the bedrock of America, but really does anyone want to be a laborer? You'll never see a reality show where people compete to marry a mechanic or something....

I look down on the CEO sitting in his nice cushy chair, collecting all the money and rewards of the work his workers are doing.

Working people ARE the bedrock of America. Where does your food come from? Your house? Your car? Everything has to be designed, built, delivered, etc. We DEPEND on working people, but do we depend on the CEOs? Ha! The CEOs depend on the working people!

Mechanics are necessary. And there are people who are perfectly suited to be a mechanic, who love doing that job. People who love their jobs don't look at the job as labor.

If I were a mechanic and a woman didn't want to marry me because of it, why should I marry her? She is obviously very shallow and obviously doesn't love me.

Don't be so bloody ridiculous. They're the bedrock of the WORLD.

Working hard to make a living
bringing shelter from the rain
a fathers son left to carry on
blue denim in his vein
oh oh oh he's a working class man

well he's a steel town disciple
he's a legend of his kind
he's running like a cyclone
across the wild mid western sky
oh oh oh he's a working class man

he believes in god and elvis
he gets out when he can
he did his time in vietnam
still mad at uncle sam
he's a simple man
with a heart of gold
in a complicated land
oh he's a working class man

well he loves a little woman
someday he'll make his wife
saving all the overtime
for the one love of his life
he ain't worried about tomorrow
cause he just made up his mind
life's too short for burning bridges
take it one day at a time
oh oh oh he's a working class man

That's what's so funny to me about "reality tv". There's nothing real about it! The majority of the people in this country work hard to make a living. What you see on television isn't true to life for most people. I worked as a mechanic for years and made more money than many executives made who wear a suit and tie to work everyday. I admire the working class because that is the majority of our country.

Nope I am a working person as opposed to how much work that I actually do is a matter of subjective nature. People should marry whom ever they want but money does block that power and feeling and can come in between two people and realtionship, but then again so many other things can too.

Not many mechanics or laborors watch reality shows, either.
They simply aren't produced to entertain them, even if they had the time to waste on something as frivolous.
Bored couch potatoes dream about the dumbest things, and no real laboror wants anything to do with a self-indulgent waste of time like that.

I think our society is geared to looking down on the working class and taking advantage of them. We admire and envy the power of corporate leaders such as Donald Trump even when they behave as jerks.

Very few people actually have the guts to call a rich person a jerk or blow the whistle on illegal acts of corporate leaders. However, if a worker (i.e. janitor) stole even a $5.00 bill, he would be fired and likely taken to court for theft. The poor working class suffer the consequences of their action much more than the wealthy and cost society much less money.

Who wouldn't envy that? Who wouldn't want to look up to the wealthy leaders? It isn't so much a matter of looking down on working people as it is improper admiration of the rich and famous.

WE all labor, at one time or another, in Life. So why should I look down and into my own self, I will be always looking-up.

Yeah I do and I don't like it.. I don't want to be rude and proud.. Well, my guess is it comes from our feeling that we want to make ourselves believe that we are better than others
