People will get excited and they will deal with it or they won't.

All through history, mankind has dealt with doomsayers and the dire predictions, calculated to scare people into the behavior desired by those doomsayers, have never come to be realized. The doomsayers (like Al Gore) have always found a way to come out on top, telling us, when their dire predictions never come to fruition, that they saved us by making us aware of the dangers and that because of a few more people riding bicycles, we are all saved.

Remember the ozone hole scare? That was manufactured by DuPont, the worlds only manufacturer of R-12, the only refrigerant used in refrigeration world wide. DuPont made billions of dollars every week off sales of R-12.

Well, the 50 year patent on R-12 was soon to run out, which meant that R-12 would then be available for anyone else to make. The price would then go way down, because there would then be competition and DuPont would no longer have the planet in a choke hold as the only supplier of refrigerant, and Dupont would no longer be making billions of dollars every week off sales of R-12.

How was DuPont going to retain it's monopolistic hold on the sale of refrigerant to the planet?

DuPont got together with their scientists and with their friends all around the world, they told everyone that R-12, among many other Chloroflourocarbons (cfc's) was burning a hole in our ozone layer! They told us that if we ban the use of cfc's we could stop the ozone from disappearing!

Good idea! We all said that cfc's are bad! So we banned them!

Oh no! Now what are we gonna do? There will be no more refrigeration! Boo Hoo!

Well, not to worry, said Dupont! We now have R-134! A new refrigerant that will replace R-12!

Of course, DuPont did not tell us that they now have another choke hold on the planet for 50 more years as the only supplier of refrigerant to the whole wide world!

But, golly gee! R-134 is more expensive, so the price has gone up on refrigerant, which means that DuPont is making even MORE money now!

DuPont doesn't tell us that they are the leading source of funding for radical environmental groups like the World Wildlife Fund, which is supposedly trying to destroy giant global polluters like DuPont! Instead, environmental groups are there to PROTECT giant global polluters from COMPETITION!

That way, we all believe that we are following the Pied Piper of Environmentalism to a Haven of Safety and Peace and a Safe Clean World!

What we fail to see is that we follow that Pied Piper of Environmentalism to a world made less free and under even greater control of Multinational Business concerns who make zillions off of our naive belief that we are saving the planet instead of saving Big Business!

A polar shift is unforeseeable and if it does occur it is not anything caused by humankind's activities.

Let us remember DuPont and be wiser when we hear the Chicken Little's of the world crying that the sky is falling.

Oh, by the way, DuPont takes credit for the ozone hole getting smaller. ( The ozone hole has historically expanded and contracted, without the help of Al Gore or DuPont).

Of course, this is a little tiny space to tell the entire story. Many details are left out. But, it is the story of environmental deception in a nutshell.

well, no one is really sure but it is to say that the magnetic force (a compus always points north) will change (a compus will always point to the south)...some effects might freaquent earthquakes from the shifting of the earth shift from the north to the south

I think that the biggest fear would be that we would temporarily lose our magnetic field. This in turn would allow all the radiation that it is currently blocking out to penetrate the earth. End result....perhaps everything is going to fry like an egg.

global earthquakes and eruptions from old and new volcanos, some that we may have never discovered. drastic tidal changes etc. it would be catastrphic.. I would not be too woried because God is in control and + there is no actual proof that there will be a poler shift in the near future. Global warming is more relevent to worry about. because there is constant evidence of it happening.
