first that he shows respect, concern, is a caring type individual, that I am important to him.
that he is financially secure, is well educated, has a long time and good career, has a hobby such as golf, saves his money, but still spends on me, remembers the few important holidays we share, and that he finds time to spend precious moments with me.
that he shares the same religious belief as I do, and that we are going in the same direction.
that he is a good conversationalist and negotiator, that he shares himself with me, and that he doesn't hesitate to take charge and get things accomplished for us.
I would expect that he has positive nature, and is good with teamwork and has long time friends and a warm and friendly kin. I would hope that he is a giver and also gives back to society.
no bad language, no snide remarks or putdowns.

don't have to b a lady...honesty (not a player) share the same moral values/goals. clean cut, likes music, fine foods, wines, romantic, adventure, travel, sports, likes change or excepts it, emotionally stable, confident, up to date clothes and hair, no loafers & tall socks with shorts(pet peeve, tee hee) going bald? don't grow hair long in the back & comb it over the bald spot in the front!!! looks for ways to better relationship, romantic suprises. no analystical bull, treats others as he would want to be treated. Be considerate, responsible/works.

ah...the age old question.
each girl is going to have a different opinion of the perfect man. Like sports but don't put them before her. Be spontaneous from time to time. Don't hide your emotions when she clearly wants to see them. Respect her. Don't make her spend countless hours with your mother! Don't be too cocky, yet don't lack self confidence. Don't talk about how you messed up past relationships. And most of all, DON'T TELL HER YOU LOVE HER UNTIL AT LEAST THREE MONTHS OF CONSISTENT JUST YOU AND HER DATING!
