I think cats and dogs (and all animals) should wear clothes if they want to.

They don't want to, ever.

In some cases, it's helpful, or even necessary, for animals to wear certain types of apparel. Rescue animals, for example, may wear backpacks and harnesses, or special types of boots for climbing over rugged terrain.

it rlly does depend on the dog/cat. some dogs like to be dressed up or dont mind it at all while some despise it-u can tell by the way they react. personally i think its basically a waste of money except when owners dress up their dogs during halloween -bc thats basically what halloween is for. the only time i would rlly hate it is if its obvious that the dog isnt happy with it. otherwise its up to the owner and what theyre willing to spend for the latest trend. -for the main part i just think it silly, exempting halloween

I have cats that are hairless or nearly so, I also have a Dachshund who shivers in the winter. I dress them in the winter with mixed results. The cats groom the clothes so they pill up and look ugly in a short time. The dog is better about wearing things. As far as fashion goes, we aren't into it we just do it for practical reasons.

i don't like the idea. Paris Hilton does it because she's crazy. The cats or dogs don't like it at all and don't need it when they are already have unique and pretty fur designs. If you have a cat or dog, don't dress them up.

They are dogs.
Do you really think those dogs like being dresses up in the clothes?
They have fur for a reason.!!

I don't think it pleases anybody but the owner. It's not cute, and the irritating part is that the owners think that they are so creative and amazing for managing to keep their pet in some five thousand dollar designer pet jacket. Most animals don't like it, there are the few that do, and even the few that need it, but it's just annoying to me.

I think some folks go too far with the clothes thing. My dog
Gypsy has a bandanna, she does like it but not everyday and
it makes her smile... she always lifts the left side of her...lip? and shows her teeth on that side when she smiles!

i have a male dog, so it limits my options, but he does have a few shirts, and one sweater. he is a short-haired mini-dach, so he does get cold in the winter when we go outside for walks. he doesn't like it, but as soon as he gets outside, he's fine, and he'll trot along as normal.

i think it's adorable, but i draw the line at the shoes for dogs. that inhibits their walking.

I think it's mean. It's not natural. They can't possibly be comfortable. They are already wearing clothes, it's called fur. I think if they could talk they would say it's humiliating and uncomfortable.
