In Spain in 1930's the anarcho-syndicalist and the fascists both fought to destroy the democratic socialist government.
Today the radical left and the islamists both fight to destroy the western democratic nations.
They might have opposing doctrines but they join together to defeat their most dangerous enemy - freedom of speech.
The Hitler/Stalin pact, which you mention was two totalitarian regimes joining to combat the open society.
There is a lesson for us all here. The communists persuaded people to join them by saying that they are the only people fighting the fascists, and the fascists persuaded people to join them by saying that they were the only people fighting the communists, when in reality they were secret allies.

while i think of of "Chicago style Politics" I immediately think of of a point of unethical and criminal interest designed to get elected or getting your guy elected in any respect fee mutually as destroying your opponent and different alongside the way. that would desire to incorporate voter fraud, bribery, mendacity, stealing, rigging elections, grimy electioneering tricks, spying, bugging, cronyism with the unions and obtainable mafia involvement, political favors, and the thirst for sheer skill.
