Please help me, I'm usually the first to give out about people asking maths questions but this is for my exams! School is over here in Ireland for the summer so i can assure you it's not for homework. I've searched through my book and previous questions and can't find anything like this question. It has a minus sfter the mulitplication. I can do the other ones with multipliaction or addition. Please teach me how to do it!

Simplify, 3/ 15 X 5/7 - 1/14

thats three over five multiplied by five over seven minus one over fourteen. Its probably so obvious but I've been studying so hard I can't think straight. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

3/ 5 x 5/7 - 1/14
in simplifying expressions, combine first the term which are multiplied or divided to each other in you proble we need to combine the first-two terms so multiply 3/5 by 5/7 will give 3/7 (5 is cancelled out since it is common to numerator and denominator) so
3/7 - 1/14
then subtracting the two fractions wil give you the answer, one trick you can do is to make both their denominators be same number, we can say that 3/7 = 6/14
by doing this, if we have common denominator, only the numerator will be subtracted and the denomnator will be copied
6/14 - 1/14 =5/14

Always remember that -1/14 is a separate term so work out the multiplication first because that is one term, remember BIDMAS, brackets indicies, divide, multiply add and then subtract.

3/15 you can divide both the top and bottom by 3 to get 1/5

then do the multiplication of 1/5 x 5/7

so 1x5=5 and 5x7=35 so you have 5/35

now 5/35 you can divide the top and bottom by 5 so,

5/5=1 and 35/5 = 7 so now you will have

1/7 - 1/14

you need to get the bottoms of the fraction both as 14 so multiply 1/7 by 2 on the top and the bottom and youl get 2/14,

so finally 2/14 - 1/14 = 1/14

hope its clear enough, good look in your exam

= (3/5) x (5/7) - 1/14
= 3/7 - 1/14
= 6/14 - 1/14
= 5/14

It will be fine. Part of the reason I say this is you already have the 2 biggest things of all going for you, and I doubt you even realize it: First is that you're already discussing it. Sex isn't just the actions; it begins in your head with trust and communication. Couples can go for decades without being able to do what you're doing already. The second is that each of you is concerned about what the other wants. Again, this isn't always the case. As you're learning and exploring, you'll start to realize what each of you wants...trust me on this! If in doubt, just ask. After that my suggestion is don't expect miracles the first time. If you're awkward, turn out the lights. Then just get started and enjoy. Finally, I think this issue of pain is overstated. Unless he's hung like a stallion, there's no reason for you to assume it will be painful, or that any pain would last beyond a couple minutes. And since he's already mentioned getting you "turned on", this is the best way to avoid or minimize pain. It lubricates and gets you ready. Anyway, I felt no pain at all Also, in today's world, with active sports and even tampons, it's much less common for people to bleed. I didn't do that, either.

a/b X c/d = (ac)/(bd)
multiplication takes precedence over addition or subtraction so simplify the product first.
(3X5)/(15X7) = 15/(15X7) = 1/7
Now, to add or subtract fractions, they have to have the same denominator. The LCD is 14, hence we can write 1/7 as 2/14.
1/7 - 1/14 = 2/14 - 1/14 = 1/14

3/ 15 X 5/7 - 1/14 ........ first fraction cancels down

= 1/5 x 5/7 - 1/14 ............. 5 cancels

= 1/7 - 1/14 .................. common denominator

= 2/14 - 1/14

= 1/14

This only works for this question and the way it has been set

3/5 * 5/7 = 3/7 ; you can cross out the 5's since one is on top one is on bottom.

3/7 = 6/14 ; just multiply both top and bottom by two

6/14 - 1/14 = 5/14

Answer: 5/14
