What if there is no inner consciousness? You would be trapped. Just find things, words, sensations, which bring you joy. Spend time with a well rested child. Pet your pet. Watch The Three Stooges. Choose the thought that feels best. Be grateful for as much as possible including your wonderful ability to receive the many thoughts. Watch the traffic go by. Imagine your savings account growing by one dollar every time you notice one of these thoughts going in one side and out the other. You are going to be wealthy if you can do this. In Envy, Ron

Firstly, one should tell oneself to ignore this rush: why at once, immediately, pronto, forthwith.

What is time?

This itself will calm things down.

Secondly, one stops hyperventilating, and breathe deliberately.
After four five minutes it will be apparent that imperceptibly the diving in has started.

Now, the serious business of exorcising thoughts begins.

At once, immediate.... all lose relevance.

Let your mind chatter, but be aware of its chattering at the same time. Do not become attached to the chatter. Soon it disappears and you will feel a strong sense of presence.

That's easy. I do it all the time to figure people out when they need answers. It really can't be taught, you have to know yourself in order to avoid your "chattering mind".
