i don't know why norton is updating and slowing my pc temporarily every day. every time i turn on the pc norton comes on and updates and slows down my pc

Reason is Nortons is an expert in marketing skills. They sell a product that is a resource hog and will eat up all your resources. Not really good at finding viruses and if found will usually not delete. When you go to remove you are left wit over 375 fragments of Nortons glued to your files, folders, registry and hidden all over your system.

Its just typical norton. Live with it or get something else

as above states, it really is a bad program, get rid and try commodo free firewall along with aol active virus scan (kaspersky 6) both free, and much much much much better.
i gaurantee you a much better runniing machine if you do!!
