In between work and school, I usually read anywhere between 3-5 books per month. I always try to read a non-fiction and fiction book at the same time.

Right now I'm reading Chuck Palahniuk's new novel, "Rant."
And for non-fiction I'm reading Peter McWilliams' "Ain't No body's Business if You Do - The Absurdity of Consensual Crime..." I would recommend both so far.

It varies from month to month, but I usually finish a book in two days, so potentially 15 a month if I find enough good books. I love biographies and memoirs the best, although a good book of short stories can keep me turning the pages. I don't like novels anymore. As an English major, I had to read a lot of the classics, good and bad, so now I'm just not interested. Mostly because I haven't found any good novels being written today. But you didn't ask for my life story. Basically, I read a book every 2 days on average.

Before, I used to read a minimum of 10 books a month, depending of course on the number of books that are available. I was really a book worm, and on most nights, I used to feel disoriented because I really want to read a book but I've already read all the books in my shelf (there are loads) a dozen times and I really want to read something new. But my mom told me that being such an addict in reading books is not doing me much good so she said I must stop reading lots of novels and instead concentrate on my studies and also sleep early every night (I used to sleep at 1 in the morning, and that's usually the earliest, just to finish a book). Since then, I stopped reading lots of books and only reads a book or two every month. But I'm afraid that practice has changed me a lot, for now i find books boring. Now i'm focusing on another hobby, writing stories.

When I read a book it usually takes more than a month because I guess I am a slow reader.
I am not reading any now but the last one I read was "The Last Days of Dogtown".
I really liked "In the Shadow of the Arc" and "The Red Tent".
I also enjoyed the "Clan of the Cave Bear" series, The Davinci Code, and the Little House on the Prairie series.
I have tried to read some of the ones from the Oprah book club but they are way too deep for me.
I have the Harry Potter books from when my daughter read them and they are on my "to read" shelf.

Since Dec. I am on my 14th novel. Last month I would say that I read about five novels. Right now I am reading Rasputin's Daughter; it's ok so far, but the glossary for the old Russian words kills me, as does the explanation for the word right after it's said in the text...what's the point of the glossary then? I just don't think it's necessary to have a glossary in a novel, it takes away from the reading experience. The story is pretty good though.

It depends on the months and the books. If I'm reading James Patterson, as many as 10. If I'm reading Dean Koonz or John Grisham, probably about 3 or 4. Right now I'm finishing rereading the Harry Potter series, again, and then I am going to start The 6th Target by James Patterson or The Golden Compass, again, by Philip Pullman.

I read any book with a spellbinding plot. When I read I like to understand every word of it. If the book is from 200 to 300 pages...I read 3 books in a month. And if the book is from 100-200 pages, I read 6 books in a month. Currently, I;m reading the Artemis Fowl seris by Eoin Colfer. I've already read Artemis Fowl(book 1), Artemis Fowl-the arctic incident(book 2), artemis fowl- the eternity code(book 3). And I'm on chapter 4 of artemis fowl -the opal deception (book 4) Then I'll be reading the last book in the artemis fowl seris(:( ) the lost colony-book 5

If I had ideal conditions throughout the month, I could read about 8 to 10 books. I just got through reading Juliet Marrillier's The Dark Mirror (VERY good book) and am now on Beka Cooper: Terrier by Tamora Pierce.

Well, last month I read around 60 books cos I had my summer hols goin. Plenty of time on my hands. Usually of course, I don't get the time to read that many. Right now, I just finished reading Nina Kiriki Hoffman's "The Thread that Binds the Bones" and I'm tryin to decide what I want to read next. It's a toss up between Robert Heinlein's "Glory Road" or Nina Kiriki Hoffman's "The Silent Strength of Stone"....

I'm a college student, so a great deal of my reading time is taken up with reading texts and academic journals. This leaves me with just enough time to read one or two a month, but then I devour anything and everything during breaks! There is always a book with me, even if it takes awhile to read. Right now: Invisible Man, The Nanny Diaries, and a book of Louisa May Alcott's "thrillers".
