1) True from the American perspective, and the European powers got a good look at the American frigate, but for the most part, against the backdrop of Napoleonic dealings, it was hardly noticed, even by the British who were fighting it.
2) True, but putting it that way is a bit misleading. The "American system" of manufacturing allowed for less skilled labor and better production, but it was the quality as much as the quantity of widgets made with the system that was telling.

Both of these are usually regarded as being true. But for me this is a great illustration of why you should not use true/false questions to teach History.
