some things aren't meant to be explained, only enjoyed...the explanation would be to myself eventually about how the heck I was gonna get down.
of course if I had to....here you are:
Once long long ago, before the known universe had substance there was a meeting of the first beings. They had always existed, and will forever.
their names were 'The one who will be Fire', 'The one who will be Wind', 'The one who will be Earth' and 'The one who will be Water.'
they spent eons floating aimlessly through the dark, unaware of the the other ones. Until one day when off in the distance the glow of Fire illuminated a reflection upon Water which drew in Wind and made Earth stop solidly beneath them.
Aware of themselves because of the others, they began to form relationships....experimental and complex , the offspring hybrids of which neither knew themselves or from where they came, still the chain was formed ...spiraling through time.
Eventually the mass of beings and the relatively short lived 'explosion of creation' began to form order in the chaos. Very slowly over vast stretches of time the immortal originals watch as their children slipped into masses of celestial wonders. Planets and stars and all other things began to take shape...Heavenly clubs and parties....
The immortals had 'luck' once in a while and happened upon 'magic' combinations that resulted in royal lines of 'pure' descendants that are detectable even on our "Earth" to this very day ...(I'll tell more of those in a moment)
Once these nearly immortal very special royal beings ceased, they were gathered in one sacred grave. "Earth" as it was called after the element of founding, was the final destination of the precious ones.
Eventually the Elements formed carbon servants. Nameless and controlled through telepathy they tended "Earth" 'happy' to have purpose, free from thoughts of any importance what so ever.
Much time passed before the first servant exercised the voice box that had quietly been developing through ages of unforeseen evolution. Able to communicate with simple sounds the 'servants' were beginning to form 'untraceable' alliance beneath the detection of the 'gods'.Clubs formed of the strongest minds dubbed 'humans" as their secret pass word and they began to stage a revolt and swore to murder anyone who dare speak 'the language of the gods'.
That was the story of the line that became the population as we know it today. As in all things there are loop holes and behind the scenes magic that some are aware of and others fear, yet neither talk of it because to one it is taboo and the other knows it cannot fully be told with 'words' but in concepts (not unlike the language of creation)...
******************************************************
If the "humans" would have kept the sages and visionaries on the sidelines, and not left these things up to the genetic code of infinite possibility they would have seen, long ago, the signs of the Gods making plans of retribution. For when the Elements discovered the 'closed minds' as they named them , they began to see the fault in the selfish desire to create a being without free will. The held council, and soon took steps to set in motion a plan reserved for the end of days, that would unite them with the distant spawn of their curiosity. With the meanings and childlike purity in which they themselves first embarked on the journey of creation.
They planted a seed, it was unlike any seed before it. It was coded with the recipe of renewal, and embedded with a lock that matched the key called "Return".......
(Yikes! I really am about to wrap this up!)
So yeah, the story goes... I dreamed this one day, then woke up "right on TOP of a tall TREE" and vaguely remembered the voice of the infinite ones calling my name. Was it all a dream, is this life a dream?....I rubbed my eyes and began to look out across the land.....trees had covered the world again...as far as my eyes could see.....familiar friends topping each one, and laughing with joy at the new heaven.......

I don't need to explain every event in the world.
To answer your question though:
Being in the tree, it is likely that someone had moved me there while I slept. As I am a light sleeper, it is likely that I was drugged in some way so that I didn't wake during the transportation process. It is likely that I have a disturbed friend who think putting me in harm's way was funny and I would be ending the friendship.
If I've been drugged, I am likely calling the police for an assault charge. As I was taken without permission, I would add possibly forcable confinement and kidnap charges.
If I sustain any injuries I might also consider a civil lawsuit.
Not very creative, sorry.

The picture doesn't convey anything. That you think it does is worry #1. Worry #2 is your friend, who is trying to sow ideas into a mind that already has enough to cope with. He is not helping, give him a wide berth at least so far as this issue is concerned. If you have a ghost, he can't hurt you. He doesn't even know you're there. If he's real, check out the history of your house and the immediate neighbourhood. You're looking for a story about some black chubby guy who died suddenly, perhaps violently. The other possibility is that you've been hallucinating, more of that in a sec. "Feeling like you're being restrained" is a quite normal experience that occurs in that strange state of mind between sleep and waking. It gets interpreted through whatever cultural tools are to hand. In the Middle Ages you'd have described a succubus, these days you might think in terms of alien abduction. Fantasy in either case, of course. The business with the sticks and the girlfriend is just coincidence both ways round. You tapped the sticks and made it with your girl, good for you. Then she cheated on you, not so good for you, but the sticks have nothing to do with it. They are just bits of wood, trust me. Worry #3 - have you messed with drugs very extensively? Some of your experiences check out with what I know about poltergeists, which I never took seriously until I was asked to deal with one; but I also know about psychosis, and it worries me that you may be becoming mentally unwell. You might like to consider seeing a doctor. Forget all the stuff about demons though.

I took a heavy dosage of sedatives in order to get to sleep. There was a tall tree next to my single storey house. In the night there was a storm and the tree fell because it was rotten at the base. The tree fell down and crashed through my roof and ended up right next to my bed. By bed was higher than the diameter of the tree trunk. In my sleep, i rolled off my bed and landed on the top of the tree trunk (which landed horizontally). When i woke up, i was on the top of a tall tree.

I would think that someone put me there as a joke. Or maybe that a flood had come through and somehow I floated to the top of a tree and slept through the whole thing because I had been dreaming I was swimming or that I was hit on the head.

I would assume that the life in which I wasn't on top of the tree was all a dream, and that I've always been on top of the tree and just forgot in my slumbering state. Then, I would eat some leaves, because I'm always hungry after I sleep.

I don't know at all.
If such a thing happened, it would be so bizarre, that I would be hard pressed to even hazard a guess.
But perhaps at some much later time an explanation of some sort would be provided, which I could not have any idea right now as to what it might be, given that at this moment, such a situation seems utterly illogical and impossible.

Too much to drink the night before, decided to be Jack the Lad and if I woke up still at the top of the tree without having fallen to my death in the night would count myself very lucky indeed.

Reality shifts do happen spontaneously, but usually only in the context of the perceived safety of the physical body. Perhaps it could happen if you had great physical balance like a tight-rope walker, lumber jack, gymnast, or cell tower repairman! Find yourself in danger or in need of a broader view? Teleport to a tree!
