How far along you were when you had the miscarriage will not effect your chances for carrying the next pregnancy to term.

Miscarriages occur because of other factors like chromonosomal abnormalities, injuries or uterine problems. And most of the time, the cause is not even known.

My midwife told me most healthy women in their childbearing years lose about 1 out of 4 pregnancies. Your chances are excellent of having subsequent successful pregnancies.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your baby and pray you will be given a healthy little one.

This is the best link I've seen. Most information says to wait until one full menstrual cycle has completed. Once that has happened, your body should be on it's normal cycle.

I don't think it really matter how far along you were. 20% in in miscaraige anyway. Lots of times, you don't even know you were pregnant. It will take longer to get a period at 4-5 months than 8 weeks. It takes a a few days for utuerus and hormones to return to normal. Also, the stress of the miscarraige can be harderon your body than anything. after a miscarriage, I would say just relax and chill. Start chart your basal temp and such (here's a link http://www.docshop.com/education/fertility/getting-pregnant/ ) If you just relax and don't wait for it, it will happen. If you have an ongoing miscraaige problem, then you really need to have very in depth testing to find out why. Good Luck!
